Your catalog drifted.
Quietly. One listing at a time.

When an Etsy or Shopify shop hits 50, 100, 250 listings, voice consistency stops being a writing job and becomes a triage job. That's where the Shop Audit comes in.

  • 01
    A supplier sent the description.

And the supplier sounds like every other supplier on the planet.

  • 02
An assistant wrote it on a busy day.

It's correct. It's kind of fine. It just isn't you.

  • 03
You used a template three years ago.

Your voice has grown. The template hasn't.

  • 04
    AI wrote it once.

And now it lives there with thirty other listings that all start the same way.

Tell us how your shop sounds.
Once.

Two minutes of inputs become the north star for every score and every rewrite. No prompts to engineer, no settings to fiddle with — just your voice, applied consistently across the whole catalog.

We started gritwrite the day we realized the candle pages didn't sound like the candle shop.

Same products.
Two different shops.

Brand voice is the difference between copy a buyer skims past and copy that sounds like the shop they want to buy from. Same three products, two voices — both written in gritwrite, both consistent across a whole catalog.

The warm, plainspoken shop
Conversational. Concrete details. Sounds like a person.
Soy candle, 8 oz
Cedar + lavender candle, hand-poured 8oz

Made in small batches at our kitchen table. Soy wax, real essential oils, a wick that doesn't tunnel. Burns about 50 hours — long enough to get attached to.

Linen apron
Heavy linen apron, the kind that gets better

Stonewashed European linen with a deep front pocket and crossback straps that don't dig. Washes soft, gets a little wrinkly, never minds a splash of olive oil.

Ceramic mug
Ceramic mug with a thumb groove, fits big hands

A thrown-on-the-wheel mug with a wide handle and a thumb rest where it matters. Holds 14oz of coffee. Microwave-safe. Slight imperfections are part of the deal.

The editorial, spec-forward shop
Tighter sentences. Curated. Reads like a label.
Soy candle, 8 oz
Hand-poured soy candle — Cedar Lavender, 8 oz

A clean-burning soy candle with cedarwood and French lavender. Cotton wick, reusable amber jar, ~50-hour burn time. Made in small batches in Brooklyn.

Linen apron
European linen crossback apron — natural, full coverage

190 gsm stonewashed linen, crossback straps, deep dual front pockets. Cut full-length for full coverage. Pre-washed; intended to soften with use.

Ceramic mug
Hand-thrown ceramic mug, 14 oz, thumb-rest handle

A 14 oz ceramic mug thrown on the wheel and finished by hand. Generous handle with thumb rest, microwave- and dishwasher-safe glaze. Each piece is one-of-one.

Common questions,
answered honestly.

What's the Shop Audit Report?
$39, one-time. You drop your Etsy or Shopify URL, we score every product page in your catalog against your trained brand voice, rank the worst-to-best offenders, and rewrite the top 10 worst pages in the voice you actually want. PDF + email within 24 hours. No subscription, no card on file.
Do I need to subscribe to get the audit?
No. The audit is a flat $39 one-time purchase. The monthly plans are for ongoing maintenance after the audit — new products, seasonal launches, channel expansion. Most shops do the audit first, then decide if they want a subscription.
Who is this for?
Etsy and Shopify sellers with 50–250 listings whose product pages no longer sound like their brand. If your About page sounds like you and your product copy reads like a supplier wrote it, that's the gap we close.
What about Etsy listings?
Yes — paste an Etsy URL or upload an Etsy CSV export. Etsy doesn't give us write access to your listings, so you'll review the rewrites and paste them back into Etsy yourself. You stay in control.
Will gritwrite ever change a live listing without me knowing?
No. Every rewrite goes through a side-by-side review. Nothing publishes unless you accept it. On Shopify, the apply step is one click, and you can revert any change.
How does it know what my shop sounds like?
You train it. Two minutes of inputs — tone, target customer, words you don't use, an example you love — become the rubric. Every score and every rewrite uses that rubric.
How is this different from generic AI copy tools?
Most AI tools generate something competent that sounds like every other AI tool. We tune for one specific voice (yours) and bake in marketplace constraints (Etsy's 140-char title and 13-tag limit, Shopify SEO meta). And we filter out the obvious AI-slop phrasing.
Will my catalog be used to train AI?
No. We don't use your inputs or rewrites to train any model. See the privacy policy for the full data-handling story.
Cancel the subscription anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans, no contract, cancel from your billing page. Anything you've already generated stays yours.
